The second transnational meeting of the project group took place in October 6 to 7 and it was hosted by our Portuguese partner Escola Superior de Tecnologia da Saúde de Lisboa. The meeting was focussing on the results of the first year of the project life time that was mainly research oriented to collect evidence for the development of the e-learning modules. We also discussed the options to present and publish our research results. The other relevant aspect of the meeting was further development of our first e-learning module dedicated to the interprofessional approach in early breast cancer detection and diagnostic procedures, involving nurses, radiographers, biomedical laboratory scientists and lecturers in the field.
It is always part of our transnational meetings to learn about local conditions of the partner institution and the country. So, we had an opportunity to visit the skills labs and other host institution facilities related to their studies and research (see Gallery). We could also visit some of the most attractive sightseeing areas of Lisboa.

Symposium Mammographicum (http://www.sympmamm.org.uk/) is a registered charity founded in 1979. Its principal aims are ‘to stimulate and support research and disseminate knowledge about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of breast disease’. The major event organised by the Charity is the biennial Symposium. This time it took place on 3-5 July in Liverpool. EBreast project was represented in the symposium by a poster presentation that gives an overview of European radiographers’ challenges in mammography education and clinical practice. The poster is based on an integrative literature review aimed to collect evidence for the development of e-learning modules in this project.
