An intensive course on early detection of breast cancer was conducted on May 14 to 18 in Tartu Health Care College. 27 health care professionals/educators from Estonia, Finland, Norway, Portugal and Switzerland took part in the course. In addition to the onsite participants there were also online participants from different countries like Ireland, Finland, Sweden and Malta. The training included different ways of teaching and learning, giving an interesting overview of e-learning and the inter-professional approach to be used in practice and teaching/learning. The participants were also given an opportunity to interpret and implement the principles that had been covered in lectures. Some lectures were face-to-face the others were conducted online, the lecturers being in Finland and in Canada. Workshop groups involved participants from different countries and professional fields like radiographers, nurses and biomedical laboratory scientists. Each day a separate workshop group was formed of online participants. The participant feedback showed that the intensive course was really intensive but at the same time interesting and everybody is looking forward to have an opportunity to use the learning modules prepared in the EBreast course. This will happen after the end of the project, it means in September, 2018.
